Best for young people in care?

It raises some big questions about what makes the most difference for young people who need to come into care; and how to provide more children with the chance to be adopted.
Should more young people come - and stay - in care, where their families can't support them to achieve good outcomes? Should it be easier to adopt and is a loving stable home more important than a cultural match? Read more »

Leadbetter Launch
Submitted by Jane on Wed, 21/10/2009 - 15:10It’s a humbling experience to be at the birth of something as inspiring as the Leadbetter Learning Centre and our Centre of Excellence for Child Centred Practice.
I have spent all of my working life trying to improve the lives of children and young people and their families, and much of my community and home life too. It can be frustrating and I have often felt I have been banging my head against a brick wall, but there have been so many amazing people and transformations that I still feel incredibly priveleged to work in this sector.
