Fast Track Programme
Course Overview
Voice's fast track course is designed for experienced advocates, it recognises your work experience, academic and training background to give you accreditation of prior learning for some of the recommended learning hours. It is the first of its kind, as it fits in with your busy working life. It is a fully distance learning course which can be studied at your own pace. All four core modules and the specialist programmes are available in the fast track format.
Entry Criteria
You must fulfil the following criteria for entry to the Fast Track Programme:
• Full CRB disclosure, with ability to work with children
• 3 years as practicing Advocate or 300 practice hours
• Have conducted a minimum of 5 advocacy cases
• A functional skill level of level 2 English (evidenced by GCSE English,
IELTS 6, ESOL level 2 or through initial assessment)

Structure
All the course will be delivered through distance learning where you will build your portfolio online.
You will have regular contact with your tutor who will keep in regular email and phone contact and will meet you at least twice each module for assessment.
Assessment
Assessment dates are scheduled every 3 months throughout the year and students can decide which assessment date they would like to aim for.
Modules can be taken individually or together with a maximum of 3 modules being taken at the same time.
The tutor will work with each candidate to build a porfolio of evidence which must include at least two different cases. The portfolio will be a combination of reflective practice and work based examples.
All candidates MUST be observed at least three times for each module (including initial professional discussion); observation can be carried out by a trained assessor from Voice or from your own work place. One of these observations can also be the testemony of an expert witness.
Length
The course is designed to reflect advocates varying work loads and comittments. Candidates can work at their own pace to suit their own needs.
The minimum duration of each module is 3 months and the maximum 12 months.
Start Dates
Start dates are flexible, but assessment dates are planned for the start of December, March, June and September. Depending on the expected duration of the course it is advisable to plan your start date to correspond with this. Booking and initial assessment can take up to 6 weeks please take this into consideration when planning your studies.
Cost
£1100 for full qualification (4 core modules & specialist module working with children and young people)
£350 for specialist module ONLY
