What makes a good advocate?

We ask this question of the children and young people we work with, and always get an interesting response. Key qualities include being kind, helpful and flexible in the way they communicate with young people. Relationship is important too, especially at the start and end of casework.

What do you think makes a good advocate? Have you any examples of good or bad practice? Have your say here!

Voice is committed to empowering children and young people in public care and supporting those who work with them to achieve excellence.
