Breaking down the barriers: the rights of children and young people with disabilities

This course equips you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes you need to advocate with children and young people with disabilities and follow best practice. You will focus on the experience and effects of disability and disablist attitudes; the rights, systems and decisions affecting disabled young people’s lives, the legal framework and the practice of advocacy.

Exercises are hands on, creative and participative leaving you fully engaged in child-centred advocacy with children and young people with disabilities.
