Sorted and supported: understanding rights and entitlements of care leavers
In this one-day course you will learn the relevant legislation and how to apply it to case examples, identifying the questions to ask and the responsibilities of other professionals involved. You will explore case law relevant to defending the rights of asylum seekers and those within the youth justice system, two marginalised groups. You will practice child-centred advocacy to promote young people’s rights and improve outcomes for care leavers.
