Stage 3 Panels for Children's Act Complaints

This one day course is designed to enable you to chair or contribute to Stage 3 Panels in accordance with the law and best practice.

You will explore the regulations and guidance, the role of panel members and what makes a good panel report. We will also consider how to deal with disagreements in decision-making and how to develop child-centred practice.

The course is divided into exercises and activities that make the learning easier to digest and encourages you to absorb the knowledge in a practical and tangible way.

The course is designed for experienced Independent Persons and others who may attend or sit on Stage 3 Panels. It is particularly recommended for those moving into the role of chair.
